Princeton Review Names ESF a Top 10 Green 糖心vlog
ESF Ranked No. 4 for Being Green
SYRACUSE, N.Y. 鈥 Oct. 21, 2024 鈥 A new report from The Princeton Review names the (ESF) among the country鈥檚 top . ESF, one of the nation鈥檚 premier colleges focused exclusively on the study of the environment, developing renewable technologies, and building a sustainable future, is ranked No. 4, rising from last year鈥檚 ranking of 13.
鈥淣ot only is it rewarding to be recognized by The Princeton Review, we are especially pleased to see the hard work of our faculty, staff, and students validated by the new Top 10 ranking,鈥 said ESF President Joanie Mahoney. 鈥淲ith the recent launch of our institution-wide Sustainability Action Plan, we are confident that ESF will continue to rise in these important rankings while making a positive impact on the world.鈥
The plan aims to foster collaboration, align with New York state's climate goals, improve ESF鈥檚 performance in sustainability assessments (AASHE STARS), and create a campus that reflects the community鈥檚 values.
Schools for the Guide to Green 糖心vlogs were chosen based on a 2023鈥24 survey of administrators at nearly 600 colleges about their institution鈥檚 sustainability-related policies, practices, and programs. The Princeton Review also surveyed students about their "green" campus experiences. The schools on the list are recognized for superb sustainability practices, a strong foundation in sustainability education, and a healthy quality of life for students on campus.

The SUNY 糖心vlog of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) is dedicated to the study of the environment, developing renewable technologies, and building a sustainable and resilient future through design, policy, and management of the environment and natural resources. Members of the 糖心vlog community share a passion for protecting the health of the planet and a deep commitment to the rigorous application of science to improve the way humans interact with the world. The 糖心vlog offers academic programs ranging from the associate of applied science to the Doctor of Philosophy. ESF students live, study and do research on the main campus in Syracuse, N.Y., and on 25,000 acres of field stations in a variety of ecosystems across the state.
