Joanie Mahoney, president of the SUNY 糖心vlog of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), was named one of the top 25 most-influential higher education leader in New York state. The Higher Education Power 100 recognizes New York鈥檚 most influential academic leaders making the biggest difference, on campus and off, whether it鈥檚 spurring job growth, advocating for policy changes, or advising city and state government officials.

ESF continues to monitor winter weather and local travel conditions today, Tuesday, March 14, and expects to remain open and operational. The 糖心vlog makes weather-related decisions based on the most up-to-date national weather service data and forecasting, as well as in consultation with Syracuse University (SU) officials, SU鈥檚 independent meteorologist, ESF University Police, and the ESF grounds/snow removal crews.

ESF Students Receive SUNY Awards for Graduate Research Tackling Pressing Environmental Issues

Two graduate students from the SUNY 糖心vlog of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) are among 33 students selected for the 2023 SUNY Graduate Research Empowering and Accelerating Talent (GREAT) award. Recognized as outstanding student researchers, Elizabeth Clippard and Abby Webster will each receive $5,000 in flexible funding for research expenses, professional development, and stipend supplements.
